Located in the Central Connecticut River Valley, in the small town of Portland. We as a family, take much pride not only in ourselves as a very close knit family, but also with our love and dedication for the most true and loyal friends that we have ever known.
At the Grover Kennel, we are dedicated to one thing: raising the best family pets that we can. As you will see when you look through our dogs section of our website, we have selected the best moms and dads that we could find, or should I say what I really feel, (they selected us). Each and every Labrador that we own is selected for disposition, friendliness, loyalty, hunting qualities, size, and all of the standards that represent the finest of what a Labrador retriever should be, within the AKC standards.
All of our Labrador Retrievers are AKC Registered, Vet Checked and have been given their first shots. Guaranteed for Health, Eyes, and Hip Dysphasia. You will also find qualities such as CH, JH, OFA, FC, and more within our Pedigree's representing Champions, and Field awards, along with OFA grading for hips and elbows.
As members of the Portland Farmers Fish and Game Club, we keep all of our Retrievers active with training and hunting for both upland game and ducks. We have also been very fortunate to have two pointing retrievers in our family. This seems to be a trait that is natural to some of our Labs, but not all. It is not something that we train for.
I started breeding in 1987 with Grover's Maiden Tessa, and I have never looked back. It is no doubt lots of time and work, but it gives me great satisfaction. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have.
